Rabbi Coleman was born and raised in Liverpool, England. After high school, he spent two years studying at Yeshiva Aish HaTorah in Israel and then continued his yeshiva studies for close to a decade at Yeshiva Chaim Berlin in New York under the mentorship of Rabbi Aharon Schechter zt'l. Upon leaving yeshiva, he spent the next 20 years working in Jewish education and outreach for the Etz Chaim Center for Jewish Studies in Philadelphia, impacting scores of students and people on their journey in Judaism. During his time there, he also launched the Institute for Jewish Ethics, which has since become his own independent organization. This organization specializes in professionally CLE accredited Jewish Ethics seminars, in addition to the services offered on this website.
Over a decade ago, Rabbi Coleman embarked upon the path of combining his Jewish educational skills with coaching and counseling. He became a certified Life Coach and then went on to receive a postgraduate degree and supervision in marriage and family therapy from the Council for Relationships in Philadelphia, where he is now a part-time staff therapist. In a sense, Rabbi Coleman is continuing the tradition of his late father, who was a bespoke custom tailor. Instead of custom tailoring garments for the body, he custom tailors Jewish and personal development programs for the soul. Rabbi Coleman is a proud husband, father and grandfather, and lives in Philadelphia. |
